Cenkus Law Privacy Policy

Last updated February 15, 2018

This Privacy Policy explains the ways in which Cenkus Law (“Cenkus Law,” “we,” or “us”) collects, uses, protects, and otherwise handles your information, including your personally identifiable information (“PII”). PII is a term used in United States privacy law when referring to information that can be used, on its own or along with additional information, to identify or locate an individual.

Some PII is sensitive information, such as social security numbers and personal email addresses. Other PII is non-sensitive information, including business telephone numbers and office locations. We handle all PII carefully.

See the Cenkus Law Terms of Use for more information about the general terms that apply to your use of our businessattorneyinaustin.com and your relationship and interaction with us generally.

Our practices and procedures with respect to storing and using collected information will change immediately following a change to this Privacy Policy. By continuing to use this website or to otherwise interact with Cenkus Law after we make a change to this Privacy Policy, you agree to be subject to all revised terms of the updated Privacy Policy.

We also collect information that you actively disclose to us, including your name, phone number, email address, company name, and details about legal matters and disputes. We may collect your social security number and credit card information in the process of forming a company or otherwise. This information may be provided to us by phone, email, or completion of a form, including a popup form, on this website. Some of these items constitute PII and some of them are sensitive information.

How We Use Your Information

The information that we collect about you is used to improve our digital marketing, to contact you, to send you information we believe you will find useful, to tailor our information and service offerings to your needs and preferences, and for other lawful commercial purposes.

Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies

We use cookies (small files that help track visitor activity to a website) and other tracking software to help us understand your needs and preferences and to ensure efficient use of our marketing dollars.

Most web browsers automatically accept cookies. You can modify your browser settings to decline cookies by going to your browser’s Help menu for instructions. Disabling cookies may turn off some of the features that make your experience on our website efficient.

Some web browsers offer “Do Not Track” features. By turning these on, the browser sends a signal to the websites you visit, informing them of your preference to not be tracked. However, we do not respond to these signals because we lack the resources to do so.

How We Protect Your Information

Maintaining the privacy of your information, especially your PII, is important to us. We take active steps to keep your information secure while it is in our possession. Your PII is kept behind secured networks and is only accessible by a limited number of people who are required to maintain confidentiality.

We retain PII only as necessary. When we get dispose of PII, we shred any paperwork containing sensitive PII.

 Disclosing Your Information to Third-Parties

We may occasionally allow our affiliated companies (a company that shares common management) to send offers or information to you. We will never rent or sell your name, email address, or home or business address to any non-affiliated third-party person or company.

We will not share your information with anyone other than how as explained in this Privacy Policy.

Third-Party Privacy Policies

Occasionally, we may provide links from the businessattorneyinaustin.com website to, or display information, products, and services from, third-party websites. We take no responsibility for the privacy policies of these third-party websites. Third-parties will handle your information according to their own privacy policies and you should review and understand their separate policies.

Unsubscribing from Our Email Newsletters and Lists

We are committed to not overwhelming you with emails and offers. However, we will contact you when we have something to say or something to show you that we believe you may find of interest. We send out a regular email newsletter.

At all times, we comply fully with all requirements of the CAN-SPAM Act, which establishes rules for commercial email and authorizes tough penalties for violation of recipient rights to stop publishers and marketers from sending emails to them.

If you wish to stop receiving emails from us, email us at admin@businessattorneyinaustin.com. We will immediately stop contacting you by email unless we are lawfully required to contact you for some reason.

California Online Privacy Protection Act

The California Online Privacy Protection Act (“CalOPPA”) requires that commercial websites maintain a privacy policy that gives consumers a choice over the use of their PII and that these privacy policies be clearly posted.

Anyone (including any California resident) who wishes to exercise their third-party disclosure choices can send a request to admin@businessattorneyinaustin.com.com. Otherwise, we can be contacted via postal mail:

COPPA (Children Online Privacy Protection Act)

Children under the age of 13 are protected by the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (“COPPA”), which gives parental control over the collection of PII from their children. COPPA also spells out how operators of websites and online services are to protect children’s privacy and safety online.

We do not market to anyone under the age of 18 and do not believe that users younger than 18 are interested in our services or spend any time on the businessattorneyinaustin.com website.
